Razvan Dabu graduated Polytechnic University Bucharest, Faculty of
Electronics and Telecommunications, on 1966, and received the doctor
engineer degree from the Central Institute of Physics, Bucharest, on
1977. He was permanent staff researcher since 1970 in the Laser
Department, Institute of Atomic Physics. Since 1988 he is the head of
the Solid State Lasers group from Laser Department, NILPRP. Since 2003
he is associate professor of Nonlinear Optics at the Faculty of
Physics, University of Bucharest. His main interest is directed to
Solid State Lasers Physics and Engineering (nanosecond lasers,
ultrashort laser pulses generation and detection, diode-pumped
solid-state lasers, microchip lasers) nonlinear optics (harmonics
generation, parametric oscillation), laser ablation and thin films
deposition, lasers for material processing, laser medical
applications. In the last years he was director of several R&D
national and international projects in the field of all solid-state
laser systems and nonlinear optics. Razvan Dabu is the author of more
than 50 papers, published in international journals. He is a member of
the Optical Society of America and the International Society for
Optical Engineering – SPIE. |
