About SSLL

SOLID STATE LASER LABORATORY is one of the laboratories form National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics in Bucharest-ROMANIA.

Our group conducts studies in large areas of solid-state laser engineering and applications:
- Material processing using ultrafast laser pulses,
- Flash and diode pumped solid state lasers,
- Laser microchip based microlasers,
- Lasers and optical integrated devices for applications in medicine, semiconductor technology, and art conservation,
- Nonlinear optics,
- X-ray lasers.


Our facilities:
- Terawatt laser system with 22 fs pulse duration, 450 mJ pulse energy, 10 Hz repetition rate.
- 1 mJ femtosecond laser with 200 fs pulse duration, 2KHz repetition rate.
- Picosecond and nanosecond Solid-State lasers.

Microprocessing system with precise XYZ translation stages for Laser Direct Writing and micro-stereolithography.
- Laser beam characterisation setups.
