Phase: 1 Period covered: 12.09.2007-15.12.2007

Phase 1 Objectives.

1.1 Analysis of the offers / conditions as to install the fs pulsed high power (terawatt) lasers. The elaboration of the placement scheme for the TEWALAS.

1.2 Technical preparation of the space where TEWALAS has to be placed: installed electrical power, pipe water flow, interior space arrangement, environmental control (quality, temperature, humidity), laser safety.

1.3 Acquirement of a stable optical table to place the TEWALAS .

Faza: 2 Period covered: 16.12.2007-30.06.2008

Phase 2 Objectives.

2.1 Auction running and selection of the TEWALAS to be acquired. Delivery contract agreement with the producer.

2.2 Acquirements of measuring / monitoring equipments for the operating parameters of the ultra-short pulses high power (TW) laser: auto-correlator to measure pulse durations of tens of femtoseconds, beam profiler, energy / power-meter, computer, oscilloscope for TEWALAS operation monitoring.

Faza: 3 Period covered: 1.07.2008-10.12.2008

Phase 3 Objectives.

3.1 Acquisition of the TEWALAS in accordance with the delivery contract signed with the producer.

3.2 Setting-up a specialization stage at the TEWALAS producer site for two young researchers from INFLPR..

3.3 Installation of the TEWALAS on the stable optical table. Testing / verifying the TEWALAS modules and the TEWALAS adjacent equipments (climate conditioning, measuring / monitoring).

Faza: 4 Period covered: 11.12.2008-11.09.2009

Phase 4 Objectives.

4.1 Acquisition of the opto-mechanical components for the TEWALAS beam delivery and control system.

4.2 TEWALAS operation and beam parameters measurement: laser pulse energy / duration, intensity profile, spectral phase, spatial profile.

4.3 TEWALAS working demonstration. Results dissemination: web page, publications.
